Meet the Wee Little Wine Makers, Jacob, Jethro, Jonas and "Papa" Jim

 

Jacob

Sitting on a barrel of his favorite libation, Jacob wants to invite you to join him for a little wine tasting, as well listening to his many great stories! Located in the heart of California's original "Wine Country" the town of Napa is the gateway to the beautiful NAPA VALLEY, an area known for producing some of the world’s finest wines. Jacob, the oldest son of Jim, is very proud of the creations that his father’s father has handed down, as well he should be, just as any “Wee Little Wine Maker” should be! As you can tell Jacob must be a full blooded Italian, just look at the “big” story he’s telling you with his hands!

Jethro

Sitting on a barrel of his favorite libation, Jethro is inviting you to join him for a little wine tasting, as well as hearing many great stories, in the heart of California's original "Wine Country". The little town of Sonoma opens the gates to SONOMA COUNTY, an area that produces some of the world’s finest wines. Jethro, the middle son to Jim, is very proud of the creations that his father’s father has handed down, as well he should be, just as any “Wee Little Wine Maker” should be! Looks like Jethro is trying to give you a few of his family secrets, better listen closely!

 

Jonas

Sitting on a barrel of his favorite libation from his Mendocino Winery, Jonas is inviting you to join him for a little wine tasting, as well as hearing his many great stories. MENDOCINO COUNTY is the most northern part of California's original "Wine Country", as you know is an area that produces some of the world’s finest wines. Jonas, the youngest son of Jim, decided to reside in the little town of Mendocino which actually sits on the rugged coastline of Northern California (wanted to be close to his mother) but was close enough to run the winery located in the Booneville area. Jonas is very proud of his creations that his father’s father has handed down, as well he should be, just as any “Wee Little Wine Maker” should be! As you can tell Jonas is much like his oldest brother Jacob (a full blooded Italian) because he too likes to tell stories with his hands!

"Papa" Jim

Jim, father to Jacob, Jethro and Jonas, packed his chest and set out from Italy for California to seek his fortune in gold in 1849. Once Jim arrived he never did make it rich by panning gold, but what he did discover was another kind of gold! The gold Jim discovered was the rich soil and the perfect climate in the NAPA, SONOMA and MEDENCIO counties that was perfect to use the talents he learned at home in Italy. From the time that Jim was very young his father’s creations, the area’s favorite libations, were produced and Jim learned all the family secrets and techniques to making Italy’s finest wines.

Realizing that each county offers a little different climate he staked out his claim for land in each of  Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino Counties with the idea that each location would be handled by one of his three sons. The first area to be set up was the beautiful Napa Valley. Since the oldest son, Jacob,  knew the most at the time, he was to stay and oversee this winery. The next location to develop was Sonoma. Jim's second son, Jethro, helped develop the winery and  as the years went by Jethro stayed on in Sonoma to oversee this winery. The last county to develop was Jim’s favorite, so taking his youngest son, Jonas, they headed out to Mendocino County. With the variety of grapes Jim wanted grow they ended up in a little area around Booneville for the next winery. Jim’s wife loved the cooler climate of coast so they made a nice home in the little coastal town of Mendocino which wasn't too far from the Booneville winery.
